I am that happy to meet you and to have you here :))

Nice to meet you,

Hi, I’m Bilyana – the girl behind the screen, the author of this blog and the person who wants to inspire you to TRAVEL MORE & WORRY LESS.

I didn’t quit my job or left everything to travel the world, although I often wish to do the second. Ever since I was little, I always dreamed of traveling the world and now when I’m younger my dreams are even bigger than this. But my dad has always told me that dreams are free, so I keep on dreaming 24/7 and chasing them.

I’m born and raised and currently living in a small town on the outskirts of Sofia. I love nature and outdoor activities and I’m addicted to raspberry wine.

The only travels from my childhood and teenage years were family vacations in Bulgaria at our beautiful Black Sea coast and camping at some of the hidden from the tourists’ Bulgarian dams.

However, my feet have been always itching me and it was just a matter of time for me to get out of my comfort zone and as some people say and ‘’hit the road’’.

For my first trips I was looking for friends to join me but even though I know they wanted to, they haven’t got the chance to do so. So, I told myself that if I’m waiting for someone so I can go somewhere, I would probably never will. So far I’ve been traveling mostly alone and to be honest, I love it.

How did I decide to start this blog?

Actually, I wanted to start a blog a lot of time ago but I haven’t. Then one day I just decided that I’m going to start a travel blog where I can share my travel tips, stories and my experience with you because I just love traveling.

I’m so happy that I finally did it because I really love it and I also love the idea to be able to inspire you to get out of your comfort zone, to travel more & worry less and to follow your dreams. To help planning your travels, etc.

What about the name of the blog?

How came the idea of OWLovertheworld? Well, I have some weird obsession with owls and when I was thinking about a name for my blog I wanted to be something that has something to do with me and it’s something more unique. I’m not sure it is but I really like it.

I was thinking about different things and then this just came into my mind and I loved the game of words. If you pay a little attention to the name, you can also notice the word ‘’love’’ in it -owLOVErtheworld, which is like hidden there. I’ve actually noticed this afterward but it suits it just perfect, love of traveling, after all, the reason for starting the blog in first place.

What will you find here:

During my trips I’m always trying to get off the beaten path, I love to meet new people, both local and fellow travelers, to experience new and exciting things, or just walking aimlessly around an unknown place. Oh, yes.. and the food.

I also love all kinds of outdoor activities and I’m open to all types of adrenaline experiences.

Here, I’ll be sharing with you, my best travel tips & tricks from my experience and also my stories and recommendations.

You will find inspiration, tips and everything else about traveling in Bulgaria. (If you can’t find what are you looking for just drop me a message and I’ll get back in touch with more information)
